Event Details
Staff and Volunteers of Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust are invited to our very first Menopause Cafe!
The event will be held in The Curve in Seminar Room 1.
What is the aim of the Menopause Cafe?
Whether you’re looking to sharing your experiences, or simply want to chat with like-minded people, the Menopause Cafe is for you!
The Menopause Cafe aims to break down the taboo around menopause and creates a safe space for open conversations.
Who is this event for?
The Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust’s Menopause Cafe is for staff and volunteers of the Trust only. All staff and volunteers of GMMH are welcome to attend, regardless of age or gender. You may be experiencing menopause now, or want to be prepared before it happens to you; or you may want to learn more to better support your partner, parents, friends or colleagues.
What happens during a Menopause Cafe?
Staff and Volunteers of the trust will come together and discuss menopause in an open and informal way. Refreshments will be provided! There is no pressure to share your experience if you do not feel comfortable to do so. This is an open, respectful and confidential space where people can express their views safely. The facilitators are not medically trained or experts in this area, there will be no intention to lead participants to any conclusion, product or course of action.
