Rachel Weiss
Chairperson
Rachel had the idea of a Menopause Cafe while watching Kirsty Wark’s 2017 BBC documentary “Menopause and me”. She hosted the world’s first Menopause Cafe in Perth, Scotland in 2017, based on the Death Cafe model.
Rachel is the founder of the Menopause Cafe charity. Her day job is as a counsellor, trainer and business manager at Rowan Consultancy. She lives in Perth, Scotland.
Vicki Amos, FCCA
Treasurer
Director – Apex Accountancy and Business Services Ltd.
Vicki is a chartered certified accountant who runs her own accountancy practice in Dunfermline, Fife. She works with local small businesses to help them understand their numbers and keep them compliant with Companies House and HMRC.
Dr Laura Jarvis
Speciality doctor in Sexual and Reproductive Health in NHS Tayside, Scotland.
Laura is a menopause specialist and member of the British Menopause Society.
Laura is passionate about women’s health issues and is involved with training other health care professionals in menopause care.
When she is not working she loves spending time in the hills and gardening.
Dr Emma Woodcock, FCCA
Partner GP in West Sussex and Co- Clinical Director of her Primary Care Network
Dr Emma Woodcock started her career in gynaecology and after changing to general practice she has retained her interest and passion for Women’s Health. She works with local organisations to offer menopause group consultation, menopause information talks and she has set up her local Menopause Cafe with colleagues the community. She is currently developing a Women’s Health Hub in her town to enable all local women to be able to consult with a clinician who has a special interest in the menopause.

Kirsty Dixon
Menopause Cafe York Host
Kirsty runs Menopause Cafe York and also has a social group which has monthly walks and other events. Her passion for ensuring people have others to speak to comes from her own menopause journey. Feeling lonely and with no understanding of the impact it could have. It was a lonely time until her lightbulb moment. She is also a Menopause Educator and Coach, setting up Feel Good Menopause with Kirsty three years ago. Kirsty is all about the positives and empowering people to own their menopause journey. She is a qualified trainer and coach and has worked with a number of organisations and individuals. Other than talking about menopause, Kirsty’s other love is dogs!
Andy Sanwell
Menopause Cafe Volunteer
Andy worked in IT for many years and provides technical consultation and support to Menopause Cafe central services. You will also see him taking marketing photographs at Menopause Cafe events.
