Event Details
Motherwell Cheshire CIO have created an online peer to peer support group that will meet online via Zoom once a month. This menopause cafe is aimed at people going through or supporting someone going through or wanting to know more about an early, surgical or medical menopause.
Early menopause can be medically induced due to cancer or a gynaecological condition, due to surgery to remove all or some of a women’s reproductive system or it might happen naturally earlier than it should have.
If this has affected you or someone you know and you’d like to find out more then this event is for you.
This group is patient led and we are not medical professionals but we have created a safe space where you can talk to or listen to others who could be in a similar position to yourself.
Natalie Coomer one of the facilitators of the group started her menopause journey at 32 with POI and ended up going through a surgical menopause at 37 due to a total hysterectomy for endometriosis & Adenomyosis. Now at 39 she is still very much in the middle of her journey. Natalie also co-facilitates in our face to face menopause cafes.
This Early Onset focused menopause cafe is open to all regardless of gender or age, with no intention of leading people to any conclusion, product or course of action.
